I just purchased The Document Converter from the Apple App Store. So what's the purpose of this program? It seems to do exactly what Apples Preview does. To add insult to injury, the one thing that I could get to work with something I didn't want, and I would be charged monthly.

Of course this is not what I want because JPEG is only bitmapped and the vector information is lost. I tried different outfit formats and finally found one that would work: PICT to JPEG. So they can't be edited in something like illustrator. However, Preview inputs PICT files and output files that are only bitmapped. There was nothing wrong with the files because they were open in Preview. But when I try to convert PICT to PDF, I got an error message.

Sense PDF how's this structure I was hoping that I could change all my PICTs to PDF and keeping the file structure the same. So I would like a program that would maintain the information in its original format. This was a file format that apple created (way ahead of its time) that had a bit mapped layer and a vector layer - like PDF files.
